This fall, the Colorado League will host the 17th Season of providing a truly exceptional interscholastic mountain bike experience to nearly 2,000 student-athletes and 950 coaches across our service area. The months (and years) of thought, planning and preparation will culminate this fall in eighteen race days at seven amazing venues.  

While we are incredibly proud of our organization and the cycling events that we produce, the Colorado League provides much greater impact to our community than a series of bike races. 

We train hundreds of coaches to instruct, guide and help shape thousands of young people. We focus on mental health, overall well-being, teamwork, being outside, and the power of supporting each other. We help other great events, such as the Leadville Trail 100, the Triple Bypass, and the Bailey HUNDO in their roles of critical change makers in their communities. Our teams support trail construction, maintenance, and clean-up efforts throughout our program area.

Each year, the League provides more than $25,000 in waived registration fees to deserving student-athletes and coaches, making our programs accessible to more people. The new Colorado League Bike Library presented by The Pro’s Closet and Yeti Cycles has put 15 student-athletes on new Yeti ARC mountain bikes for the season, and the Golden High School MTB Team built and delivered 40 new bikes to youngsters at a local elementary school in partnership with Wish For Wheels. 

Yeti Cycles and The Pro’s Closet teamed up with the Colorado League on the Bike Library program, which put brand new mountain bikes in the hands of 15 student-athletes for the 2026 season.

Golden High School students built and distributed several bikes to local elementary schoolers, in partnership with the Colorado League.

The League has lofty goals. We strive to maintain a remarkable youth sporting environment that is inclusive, accessible, positive, and fun — an environment that is all but extinct in America. And we want to our organization to thrive and be sustainable.

To that end, we are investing our time, passion, and resources into seemingly mundane projects — registration platforms, learning management systems, improved insurance coverage, and building organizational capacity so that our staff, board, and volunteers can happily engage in our mission.
