The Colorado High School Cycling League’s coach summits bring together coaches and parent volunteers—both new and experienced—to develop skills and knowledge, share strategies, and build community. This clinic provides the professional development units (PDU) to obtain a Level 2 Coach license. The focus is to promote a safe, holistic approach to coaching that creates an environment in which young people can grow and thrive. This is a great opportunity to spend time with peers and get energized for the upcoming season.

Classes cover the nuts and bolts of working with high school student athletes in the context of a NICA mountain bike club and provide the basic knowledge all Coaches should be aware of and incorporate into their program. The NICA coach license program is designed to ensure that all coaches are sufficiently knowledgeable so as to be a positive influence on all NICA riders.
